Chocolate Cereal Bites - winning recipe for an after-school snack or a fun family game night!
In a separate small microwaveable bowl, heat peanut butter for 30-60 seconds. Stir in honey and heat for 30 more seconds. Pour half of the mixture over the cereal and gentle fold together (trying to not break the cereal), then pour the rest of the peanut butter mixture and fold again until all the cereal pieces are coated.
Sprinkle in ½ half cup of almonds and fold in gently. Then sprinkle in another half cup of almonds and again fold in gently.
Be sure to purchase Organic “no-stir” peanut butter -the kind that does not have oil on the top that needs to be stirred in. It will not mix well with then honey and won’t be able to coat the cereal.)
If you can’t find toasted almonds you can toast them yourself. Place almonds evenly on a parchment lined baking sheet. Bake for 3-4 minutes on 350 degrees
