Well everyone knows I love Asian-American fusion food! Yes, I adore blending the diverse cuisines of Asia with traditional ingredients and techniques within my everyday life.
So, I couldn’t be more excited about celebrating Asian Pacific American Heritage Month at Macy’s with Chef Kristen Kish!
I want to invite you to join me for a live in-store cooking demo by celebrity chef Kristen Kish! Not only is she an award-winning chef, author, and culinary influencer, she is also a Michigan-raised girl living in Boston – like me! I just know we’re all gonna be fast friends! 🙂
On Thursday, May 11th at 5pm, Macy’s Boston is hosting a one-of-a-kind "Talk & Taste" demonstration by chef Kristen. The event will be held in the Home Department on the lower level of the store.
I couldn’t be more excited about this fabulous event and meeting Chef Kish! Here’s what the festivities will include…
- Sampling amazing Korean cuisine;
- Finding inspiration for entertaining with an Asian table setting display;
- Enjoying an authentic Korean Night Market reception;
- And if you make any housewares or cookware purchases of $50 or more at the event, get a photo with Kristen and take home an exclusive gift!
- PLUS: I’ll be there too! Giving out my best tips and tricks for creating fabulous Instagram Stories of food!
If you are in the New England/Boston area, love Asian food, and love Instagram, then you won’t want to miss this incredible event!
Tickets to the demo are free!! For more information, visit Macy's here!
More about Chef Kristen Kish and why we’re over the moon about meeting her:
Chef Kristen Kish definitely knows her way around a wok - or any pan for that matter.
She’s worked at high-profile restaurants in the Boston area like Michelin-star chef Guy Martin’s Sensing and Barbara Lynch’s Stir and Menton. Plus, she won Bravo’s Top Chef Season 10 – only the second female chef to win the prestigious competition. #winning #girlpower
As if that wasn’t enough, she’s currently writing her own cookbook, Kristen Kish Cooking, full of stories about her life, her cooking, beautiful photos, and so many recipes.
Most recently Chef Kish co-hosted the show 36 Hours, on the Travel Channel! You have to check it out! It’s based on the New York Times hit column where she and co-host Kyle Martino spend 36 hours exploring a new city’s most delicious food and hot spots on every episode. Sounds like my kind of TV! Don’t take my word for it, check out the Boston Pride episode and many others on the Travel Channel.
Doesn’t she sound like someone you want to spend some time with?? Me too!
Then be sure to meet me on May 11th, at Macy’s for the Asian Pacific American Heritage Month Celebration with Chef Kristen Kish!
