"...From sea to shining sea!"
I am truly proud to celebrate Memorial Day and all that it stands for... let us never forget those who paid the ultimate price for our nation's freedom!
For many of us in the United States, Memorial Day is an extra day off work, a long weekend with family and friends enjoying BBQ’s, picnics and get-togethers. And as wonderful as that is, Memorial Day is also about so much more. It was originally called Decoration Day - a day of remembrance for those who have died in service of the United States of America. Memorial Day is more than burgers and hotdogs, it’s a chance to honor the million-plus fallen U.S. soldiers who have died for our country over the years. It’s also an opportunity to thank and show our appreciation for those who continue to fight for our freedom every day.
So fire up that grill, freeze those popsicles, boil those potatoes... but take a moment to say thanks for those who sacrificed for our freedom, and say a prayer for those who continue to fight to keep America the land of the free, because of the brave.
God Bless America. Now let’s dig in!
Today's post is full of deliciousness from some of our favorite food bloggers. There's truly something here for everyone... from decadent burgers to tomato burrata, strawberry rhubarb pies to Oreo popsicles, broccoli slaws to loaded baked potato salads, buffalo honey wings to banana bread ice cream waffle cones...and everything in between.
We hope you enjoy all of these recipes as much as we do. And I guess the only thing left to say is...please pass the ketchup! Enjoy my friend!
